An evening in Germany

9th July 2025

Sam (Frankel) and Katie (Westwood) enjoyed an opportunity to share the Learning Allowed approach with a group at the Potsdam Research Institute for Early Learning and Educational Action (PINA) as part of their colloquium series.

They spoke about 'co-creating a passion for learning in the early years and beyond'.

Questions allowed conversations that explored some of the wider challenges to implementing the Learning Allowed approach, highlighting the necessity of an integrated community to support learning.  We also discussed some of the challenges and opportunities posed by current trends in children's lives, leading to reflections on the relevance of having a learning identity that allows the individual to connect with their sense of value, voice and vision.
