Children and Research

This Tuesday I arrive back in the UK with a team of fantastic students from the Childhood and Youth Studies programme at King’s University College. The task ahead of us is to take part in 3 events to promote the role of children in research.

Thursday 23rd: We are at Liverpool John Moore’s University - to run a workshop with local children and young people around their thoughts in research as part of contributing to our ongoing project on how research ethics impacts children’s participation.

Friday 24th: We find ourselves in Tadley (near Basingstoke) to work with 64 children who are part of 4 community based research teams - social reporters - from the local primary schools. These workshops will introduce the research process and hopefully provide a starting point for a year long project to inspire compassionate communities.

Saturday 25th: We will still be in Tadley this time working with children, their parents and other community members who want to be part of this drive to inspire positive change through asking question, getting answers and developing high impact projects!
